David Backhouse
Dolphin Group
David Backhouse is a Fellow of the Royal British Society of Sculptors (FRBS), a Royal West of England Academician (RWA), a Fellow of The Royal Society of Arts (FRSA) and a Member of The Society of Portrait Sculptors, The Fountain Society and The Society of Equestrian Artists. He is the sculptor of 'The Animals in War' memorial in Park Lane, London.
A small version or maquette of his "Dolphin Group" public sculpture (bronze height 2.74m and weight 2 tons), which was cast at Burleighfield Arts, Loudwater, High Wycombe. The original location of the public sculpture was Surrey Quays, London Docklands, but the piece has now been gifted to Southwark Council.
