Eric Ravilious
A painter of watercolours and murals, a book illustrator in wood engraving and lithography, and a designer of transfer-ware pottery. Was an Official War Artist in WW2, painting pictures of ships, aircraft and coastal defences, until his death in a flying accident in 1942.
