John Ryan
John Ryan was a well-known figure in Dublin for more than fifty years. Broadcaster, author, editor, theatre set designer, actor, producer, publican and painter, who had "a genuine and humorous love of land, sea and human tradition". Many famous Irish artistic and literary characters patronised his famous pub, "The Bailey" in Duke Street.
