Naomi Blake
Naomi Blake is a notable modern sculptress whose work has undergone a growth from using embryonic forms, and enclosed and protected figures, to more expansive works, embracing freedom and positivity. Also known for her Biblical figures, she exhibited at the Salon de Paris in the 1960s, and later became a fellow of the Royal Society of British Sculptors. Born Zisel Dum in Czechoslovakia, she survived Auschwitz, where many other members of her family perished, before living in Milan, Rome and Jerusalem, and finally settling in North London. Many of her works can be seen on public display, both in the UK and Israel.
