Shirley Pettibone

American artist born in Bakersfield, California. Studied in Illinois and later at the the Otis Art Institue of Los Angeles. Noted for her well-crafted paintings capturing the hypnotic patterns of nature which have both the appearance of photographic reality, and pure abstraction. Has had many solo and group exhibitions, and has work in a number of public and commercial collections.
