Harry Freckleton: Children Playing in a Garden
This is a painting of the children of Harry Freckleton's next door neighbours in Mapperley Park, Nottingham. It was painted around 1958, when the children were aged about 9 and 6 respectively, and shows them playing in the garden of his bungalow. The painting was a gift to their parents from the artist.
