Harry Freckleton

Harry Freckleton was a painter in oils of flowers, still lifes, landscapes, portraits, and particularly of children playing in sunshine. He attended Nottingham School of Art between 1904 and 1912, his teachers including Herbert Wilson Foster. He was influenced by local painter Arthur Spooner. Freckleton followed his father as a photographer and ran a photographic business from 1924-1965. He exhibited 7 times at the Royal Academy between 1949 and 1959, and also exhibited at the Royal Society of Portrait Painters and Royal Society of British Artists. He became an Associate of the Nottingham Society of Artists.
