Ian Grant
1904 - 1993
Ian McDonald Grant was a portrait and landscape painter, art historian and teacher, who studied at Glasgow School of Art, in Paris, and at the RCA. He helped shape the so-called 'Northern School', as described in Peter Davies' book of the same name about Lancashire artists of the Twentieth Century. Grant exhibited widely, including at RA RSA RBA NEAC and MAFA, and was for a time vice-president of MAFA.
