John Strevens

Born in London, Strevens was best known as a painter in oil, who used a rich palette, painting colourful romantic fantasies of women, children and flowers. He exhibited at the Royal Academy, the Royal Society of British Artists, the Royal Society of Portrait Painters and the Paris Salon and was very popular in America.
