Henry Wilkinson
1921-2011
Henry Wilkinson was a master engraver of mainly sporting subjects, who produced engravings of sporting dogs and country sports from the mid 1950's onwards. He studied engraving at the Royal College of Art, and honed his skills while working as an assistant to famous canine and wildlife engraver George Vernon Stokes. He produced his limited editions single-handedly, from origination, to engraving, printing and finishing - even producing his own printing inks.
